Let me lead this off by saying that I'm not pulling this completely out of my ass. I've been a league commissioner before, and I understand how it's tempting when you have power to use it in slightly immature ways. But is it really responsible for our league leaders, PK and PM to pull April Fools Jokes? For example, on the 31st it was leaked, and subsequently announced that the MLTP player dodsfall was going to be suspended for calling PrivateMajor a wanker. This of course caused outrage. While people probably should have been on guard for the jokes starting at midnight UTC, it was leaked before 12 on April 1st. This probably is what confused a lot of people, and caused them to genuinely believe dodsfall was being suspended. Of course, OUTRAGE. Everyone was angry that for something so trivial, because of a previous offense, that dods would be suspended. Now of course, this was an April Fools joke. PM revealed the joke was up early on April 1st, due to public outrage. Is this really responsible of the CRC to use their power like this? I do have to show respect for them because they were willing to reveal it was a joke after a bit of outcry, and left a few hints it was a joke. However, BEFORE April 1st, P K Subball publicly announced that due to an error, the player bigbadball would be eligible for ALTP, and recommended that the ALTP team the Great Balls of Fire should replay their games for the first rounds of the playoff, playing bigbad. This... is not OK. Even if it was a joke, PK was way too casual about the whole thing, telling Chelseafsc she doesn't know how to run the league. The 4th ALTP town hall, which I believe is going on right now, is about the bigbadball situation, and I'm not positive if it's an actual meeting, or part of the joke. Hell, I don't even fucking know if P K is actually serious and the town hall is seriously trying to deal with the situation, if so... this is a horrible idea, and will kill ALTP. I understand bigbad playing earlier, and I certainly don't blame him or his team for the situation. But if you're gonna let him play again in the playoffs, then ALTP will turn into a joke league. I wouldn't take NLTP seriously if you let Dalek play in the NLTP playoffs because he had to drop himself from MLTP, and I won't take ALTP seriously if you let bigbad play in ALTP. Back to assuming this is a joke. Is it responsible for PK to use his power as a commissioner of NLTP to do this? He has a uh... reputation for not being the best leader, as can be seen by his... nickname. If he comes out and says it's a joke, I won't see it right. At least let others in on your joke, so you don't take the time out of people's day as they come to talk about bigbad being eligible. If you've been trusted by this community to have the power to e in charge of one of the 2 biggest leagues in tagpro... Don't fuck it up. Just don't do these jokes, or do it on your alternate account. Don't abuse your position for a shitty joke. Just my 2 cents on all this, and no I'm not drunk... completely at least.
